Help!!1 Emergency!!!!!?
i have just seen a baby fish about 3mm long it looks brown-goldy colour
sawit by chance being scared out of the plants in my tank and i’ve put it a breeding net!
but i dont no what fish it is
i have clown loach (4)
pengin tetras(2)
neon tetrs(5 just added to tank yesterday)
sucking loach (1)
zebra danios (8)
glass catfish (1)
Gouramis (2 one pearl one blue)
redtail shark(2)
dalamton mollies(6)
which could be the mother and what is best to feed it with???
i have flakes and pond pellets (shop keeper feeded his bottom feeders on the pellets!)
please help and is there a chance that there is more than one hidding in the gravel and plants???
only did a 50% water change yesterday afternoon!! could i have killed some???
It’s most likely to be baby mollies because the other fish are unlikely to breed in a community tank. Depending on the age of the mother there could be up to 30 fry. If you search the tank you might find a few more. But I would expect that some will have been eaten by the other fish. You can feed them with finely powdered flake. Just crush the flake in your fingers until it’s very fine. And sprinkle it into the breeding net. Don’t feed too much. Put some plants in the breeding net as well. There will be small organism on the plants that the fry can eat.
